Victor Saunders Death 1917

After speaking to my father, he mentioned that he had a relative whom he is names after, now this relative was names Victor Saunders and he died when he was 1 day old. I cant work out if this Victor Saunders would have been his uncle or his great uncle. I have attached the death certificate below showing the cause of death along with the fathers name. I cant work out how this is linked in with everything.

It seems to show the hospital as well but again, I cant find any information on this place as to where it is or what along with the explanation for the cause of death. I guess more digging is going to be needed on this part.

My Parents

Right, lets start with what I know exactly and take it from there. My parents details are as follows;

Mother
Lesley Jean Thompson
D.O.B 14/10/1949 in Meridan (No Longer There)
Her Mother - Jean Alice Bates

Father
Victor James Saunders
D.O.B 03/09/1952 in Meriden (No Longer There)
His Mother - Susan Jean Bell - From Troon in Ayrshire
His Father - Christopher James Saunders

There seems to be some issues with my Susan Jean Bell's name as she was know as Jean Bell, or Susan Bell so this needs to be clarified. I also don't know where Christopher James Saunders was from originally, I know that he did meet Susan in Scotland when he was stationed in the Navy.

Why My Family?

I have never really know any of my family apart from a my Mothers brothers and sisters as well as her mom (My Nan). As for my fathers side, well it is just really his 3 siblings. I am pretty sure that there is much more to my family that I actually know.

I suppose the idea of this blog is to really record all the information I find that might help me uncover what happened to the rest of my extended family, where we are all from, who is alive today and so on. I know that is a pretty major task to undertake but I am sure that it will be worth it.

The only surnames that I know for sure are as follows: Saunders, Thompson, Bell, and Shute. There must be more and it has always interested me in knowing more about my history. I know that it may read as me very sad or boring, but that is not the case. I am just genuinely interested.
